Staff are on site 24 hours a day/7 days a week, but not consistently available via phone outside of above hours.

Description of Services Provided: Teen Recovery Center is a free standing, adolescent chemical dependency inpatient treatment facility licensed by the State of Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.  Teen Recovery Center is an eight bed, residential-based, co-ed program for adolescents, up to the age of 19, who are assessed as chemically dependent as evidenced by meeting three or more of the DSM IV diagnostic criteria.  Appropriate referrals will demonstrate that they meet ASAM PPC Level III.5 criteria, establishing they require intensive residential care, outside of a hospital-based setting, for the treatment of chemical dependency.

• Two State of Montana Licensed Addiction Counselors (LAC) provide clinical services seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

• LAC on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week

• Individual assessment of the youth and the development, implementation and monitoring of an individual treatment plan by on-site LAC

• Case Manager provides services Monday thru Friday

• 24 hour resident supervision in a planned treatment environment (night staff is an awake staff)

• Rehab Aide staff to youth ratio of 1:4

• APRN provides a psychiatric evaluation for all residents, and if need be, APRN provides medication management. If need be, residents will be referred to the psychiatrist under contract

• Residents are seen by a registered nurse, who is in the unit 3 to 4 hours a week, and on call as needed.  The registered nurse determines if the youth has any medical   condition that needs immediate attention.

• Residents are provided a physical examination at a local clinic as part of their treatment at Teen Recovery Center

• Medical or psychiatric emergency care is provided by St. Patrick’s Hospital

The following treatment services are provided weekly on site.  All youth are required to attend and actively participate to the best of their abilities.

• 7 chemical dependency group treatment sessions (two hour groups)

• One individual session (one hour)

• Seven to ten recreational therapy groups

• One family therapy group and/or one family individual session

• Six to eight art based therapy groups (one hour)

• Five to seven life skills based therapy groups (one hour)

• Educational work in on-site classroom (10 hours a week)

• Daily goal setting, meditation and journaling activities

• Evidenced based sexual education group (three hours)
